The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner
The Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner is a cornerstone of The Ordinary’s treatment line, formulated to deliver visible surface-level exfoliation. Glycolic Acid, an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), works efficiently due to its small molecular size, helping to shed dead skin cells and supporting the natural skin renewal process.
Designed to enhance skin luminosity and clarity, this formula effectively addresses textural irregularities and dullness. The high-purity Glycolic Acid concentration is balanced by ingredients like Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative, which helps mitigate the irritation often associated with acid use. Furthermore, the inclusion of Aloe Vera and Ginseng Root helps soothe the skin and supports a healthy, revitalized appearance.
This versatile toner can be used across the face, neck, and body to smooth rough areas and is even suitable for the scalp to help manage dryness and flakiness. Consistent use visibly refines skin texture and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, revealing a fresher, younger-looking surface.

How to Use
Use ideally in the evening and no more frequently than once per day.
After cleansing, saturate a cotton pad with the formula.
Sweep the cotton pad across the face and neck. Avoid the delicate eye contour area and direct eye contact.
Do not rinse off. Allow the product to absorb fully.
Follow with serums and moisturizers.
Important: This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin. Due to increased sun sensitivity caused by AHA, use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
